Possible blown fuse causing major power outage in Burlington

A power outage is in effect in Burlington this afternoon (Oct. 24).
At least 223 hydro customers are affected in the area of Brant St and Amherst Heights near Highway 407.
The cause of the outage is suspected to be a blown fuse.
Repair crews are on scene and power is estimated to return by 5:15 p.m.
