Potential fatal collision in Burlington leads to road closure

Drivers in Burlington were advised to take alternative routes on Tuesday night (Jan. 4) in order to avoid an area where a driver struck a man who was on foot.
Halton Regional Police Service says that Lakeshore Road is closed between Shoreacres Rd. and Avondale Rd. “for a police investigation of a pedestrian struck by a vehicle.” There were unconfirmed reports that the pedestrian was a man in his 60s, who suffered serious injuries.
