beef jerky, snow melting mats, and tiki torches recalled in Ontario

While most foods and products are safe, some may occasionally slip through quality checks. Being informed about these items allows you to either dispose of them or return them for a refund.

Here’s a list of products recalled this week in Ontario.

Vevor Snow Melting Mats

The mat measures 13 inches by 10 inches by 0.07 inches and weighs 7 pounds. It’s made from slip-proof PVC and is 11o V. The attached power cord is 6 feet long.

The company reported that 13 units of the affected products were sold in Canada between September 2021 to December 2023.

Risks: Potential fire hazard.

What you should do: Stop using the mats and dispose of them following your municipality’s hazardous waste guidelines, or return them to specified locations for a refund.
