Road trip with wife on the agenda for Oakville $50,000 lottery winner

A retired Oakville man is $50,000 richer after winning the Instant $50K jackpot.
Giuseppe Orlando, a former auto industry worker, said he’s an occasional lottery player who usually sticks to to Lotto 6/49.
“I was at the store picking up other items when I decided to grab an Instant ticket,” he said while at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto, picking up his winnings.
Orlando said he didn’t waste any time scratching his ticket.
“I played my ticket at the lottery desk at the store. I scanned it on the ticket checker and saw that I won. I was surprised.
“I felt great. I called my wife to tell her the news. As soon as I got home, I was greeted by her with a big hug and happy smile. It was a good moment and I’m glad I got to it share with her.”
Orlando has a few thoughts about his windfall for the money.
“I plan to celebrate by taking a road trip adventure with my wife. I look forward to hitting the open road with her.”
The winning ticket was purchased at Becker’s on Postmaster Dr. in Oakville.
