Oakville Hydro say they’ve received reports about door-to-door visits from individuals misrepresenting themselves as Oakville Hydro staff.
SCAM ALERT: Multiple scams are circulating, including telephone disconnection scams and people misrepresenting themselves as our staff conducting door-to-door visits. This is NOT Oakville Hydro. Unsure? Call us directly at 905-825-9400 and speak to Customer Service. Please RT.

Some Burlington Hydro customers, meanwhile, have reported that they’re receiving calls from individuals pretending to be Burlington Hydro employees who then threaten to cut-off the customers hydro unless a payment is made over the phone.

Both Halton hydro companies are reminding residents to remain vigilant and never disclose their credit card information over-the-phone or at their door.
