SEED documentary at Oshawa’s Regent Theatre October 18

A documentary exploring irreplaceable seeds that are nearing extinction around the world will take root at the Regent Theatre October 18.
SEED – The Untold Story reveals the “harrowing and heartening” story of passionate seed keepers as they wage a David and Goliath battle against chemical seed companies in an effort to defend a 12,000-year food legacy.
The free event, presented by the Oshawa Environmental Advisory Committee in partnership with the Region of Durham and Ontario Tech University’s Office of Campus Infrastructure and Sustainability, will start at 6:30 p.m. with the film screening to follow at 7 p.m.
There will be a cash bar and door prizes awarded after the screening. Donations of non-perishable food items for our local food bank will also be accepted.
