Seminars for people who want to start a business in Oakville, Burlington, Milton

A series of seminars to help people in Oakville, Milton, Burlington and Halton Hills start a small business kicks off next week.

Run by Halton Region, the Winter Bootcamp is made up of six seminars, held twice a month, to encourage entrepreneurs to take the next step.

There’s a free information session on Tuesday, Jan. 16, so you can see if the bootcamp is right for you before you commit to the whole series.

The topics of the six main seminars are:

• How to Start a Small Business, Jan. 17
• Business Plan Basics, Jan. 31
• Market Research, Feb. 7
• Marketing and Sales, Feb. 21
• Building Your Business Online, Mar. 6
• Financials 101, Mar. 20

All bootcamp seminars will take place at Halton Region offices, 1151 Bronte Rd., Oakville, from 10 a.m. to noon.
