Suspect Arrested Following Drug Investigation in Burlington

One suspect has been arrested following a drug investigation that took place in Burlington.

One suspect has been arrested following a drug investigation that took place in Burlington.

According to police, on April 24, 2019, members of the Drug and Human Trafficking Unit concluded an investigation into an accused party involved in a drug transaction in Burlington.  

Following the investigation, one suspect was arrested and a large quantity of drugs was seized.

“At the time of the arrest, a search revealed a significant quantity of fentanyl and other opioids,” reads a Halton Police news release. “A Controlled Drugs and Substance Act search warrant was subsequently obtained and executed at the residence of the arrested party in Stoney Creek.”

The following items (with approximate values) were seized:

•1000 Fentanyl pills

•20 grams of Purple Fentanyl

•24 grams of Cocaine

•400 Oxycodone pills

•400 Hydromorphone pills

•400 Codeine pills

•$4000 Canadian currency

•Scales, packaging and other indicia consistent with trafficking

 

As a result, Joseph Casuccio (62), of Stoney Creek, was arrested and held for a bail hearing in relation to this investigation.
