Top 5 Spring and Summer Festivals to go to Outside Halton
Festival season is almost here and we have some good news - you don’t need to head all the way to California to go to Coachella to get in on the fun.
There are some incredible festivals that are happening this year right here in the Halton Region. However, if you are looking to venture off the beaten path a little (although, maybe not as far as California) we have compiled the perfect list for you.
Here are five spring and summer festivals to go to this year that are outside of the Halton Region.
5. Stratford Festival
This one is for all you theatre fans - a theatre festival if you will!
The Stratford Festival was founded back in 1952, and this year it is scheduled to run from April 16 till Nov. 3 at four distinctive venues.

4. Winona Peach Festival
The Winona Peach Festival is a festival that everyone should experience at least once (or, if you’re like me, you’ll head out every year). This year, the festival is running from Aug. 23 to Aug. 25.
At this festival, which is run entirely by volunteers, there is an arts and crafts area, an abundance of vendors, a huge variety of food options, a midway, and so much more.
However, one of the best parts of the festival is the famous peach sundaes.
The exact location of the festival is 1328 Barton St., Stoney Creek, ON.

3. Canadian Tulip Festival
Up for a little road trip? If so, then you should make plans to head to Ottawa to enjoy the Canadian Tulip Festival this year.
“The Canadian Tulip Festival was established to celebrate the historic royal gift of tulips from the Dutch to Canadians during the Second World War as a symbol of international friendship,” reads the official festival website. “The festival preserves the memorable role of the Canadian troops in the liberation of the Netherlands and Europe, as well as commemorates the birth of Dutch Princess Margriet in Ottawa during World War II—the only royal personage ever born in Canada.”

2. Elvis Festival
This festival is, you guessed it, dedicated to The King, the King of Rock and Roll, the one and only Elvis Presley. The first year of this iconic festival was 1995 and it was originally called the Canadian Elvis Tribute & Convention.
Now, people from all over come out to this festival to remember the legendary musician.
At this festival, which is running from July 26 to July 28 this year, there are Elvis impersonators, live music, Elvis merchandise, competitions, and so much more.

Note that tickets are required for some events.
Ask any Hamiltonian what event best represents the city and they’ll probably say Supercrawl.
This annual street festival, which is taking place from Sept. 13 to Sept. 15 this year, showcases the city’s thriving arts scene - whether that be music, theatre, artisanal crafts, fashion, art installations, you name it.
Not only can attendees explore all the street vendors that participate in Supercrawl, but they can also browse through the incredible shops that are located on James Street North as well.
Regardless of what type of art you’re into, or even if you just are looking to explore what the city of Hamilton has to offer, there is something for everyone at Supercrawl.
